Nosy Radama is an island off the north west coast of Madagascar. Male chameleons from Nosy Radama closely resemble males from the nearest populations on the mainland, namely the Ankaramy Panther chameleon locale. In fact, it is often extremely difficult to discriminate between males from the Nosy Radama panther chameleon locale, and males from the Ankaramy locale on the mainland. Males from both localities are commonly pink with blue crests and a solid unbroken white lateral line.
Some males from Nosy Radama can be differentiated from males from the Ankaramy locale by the fact that their coloration is more red than the pink males from Ankaramy.
