Nosy Faly Panther Chameleon Locale

Nosy Faly is an islands off the north west coast of Madagascar, off the coast from Ambato and to the east of Nosy Be. Nosy Faly Panther chameleons are also known as “Oorana Meena” Panther chameleons among breeders in the pet trade. Nosy Faly males are characterized by blue, red, yellow, and white colors. Males from the Nosy Faly Panther chameleon locale typically have blue bars on a white background and red speckles over the body. They can also have yellow eye turrets and lips (especially at the rear of the jaw).

Nosy Faly males closely resemble blue bar morph males from Ambato, and males from Nosy Be. They can be distinguished from males from the Ambato Panther chameleon locale because while Ambato males have the white background color they lack the red speckling. Males from the Nosy Be Panther chameleon locale share the red speckling but lack the white background colors.
